Several songs from Time Falls Like Moonlight were released ahead of the album as a single on City Girl's Soundcloud.[3] However, unlike during the release of Loveless Shadows and and Snow Rose where most of the album was released ahead of time, only six of Time Falls Like Moonlight's thirteen tracks were released ahead of the album itself. The first song to release from the album was the titular track "Time Falls Like Moonlight", which was released alongside the singles for Snow Rose on November 21, 2017.[2] After the release of Snow Rose, the next track, "Lush Meadows of Stone", was released on February 19, 2018.[4] The other tracks to release before the album were "Runaway" on February 26, 2018;[5] "Empyrean (life goes on" (then titled "Empyrean") on March 5, 2018;[6] "Shop Windows and Amber Reflections" on March 13, 2018;[7] and "Crescent Nocturne" on March 19, 2018.[8] The entire album was added in a singular upload on Soundcloud on the day of the album's release.[9] Two more songs were added to Soundcloud individually after the album's release: "Left Blue" on May 2, 2018;[10] and "Sunset Lullaby" on May 8, 2018.[11]
