Lazarec Collins (died February 14, 2017) was a documented gang member residing in Chicago, Illinois.

On February 14, 2017, Lazarec was killed in a drive by shooting when a gunman opened fire as he and his girlfriend, Breunna Ward drove down an alley in the Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago. A 2-year-old boy, Lavontay White Jr, who was riding in the back seat of the vehicle, was fatally wounded in the shooting.

Breunna was streaming on Facebook Live at the time of the shooting, and the video went viral on social media. While she and the passengers of the vehicle were under fire, Breunna ran a short distance to a home to seek help from family members. She was taken to the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Breunna was pregnant at the time of the shooting. She is listed in fair condition at this time.

Devon L. Swan was arrested and charged on February 18, 2017 in the triple shooting that had taken the lives of Lavontay White Jr. and Lazarec Collins. He is currently being held by the Cook County Department of Corrections without bond. ^[1]
