Fleebo (fleebofleeb1) is a contributor on Everipedia. Fleebo’s real name is Felicia. [11]
Early Life
Felicia was born in the San Gabriel Valley of California in April of 1991. She would spend her first twenty years at the same family home, 18 of those years alongside the family cat.
Felicia did not learn to ride a bike like most children, and was severely asthmatic as a child. (She spent most of her middle school years sick at home and was often hooked up to a respirator.)
Her favorite childhood activities included swimming in the family's giant swimming pool, playing video games (her first console was the Sega Genesis), and reading a healthy balance of comic books and classic literature to the cat. Some of her favorite memories include watching boxing matches with her parents, playing basketball with her neighbor until the sun set, and spending the weekends with her grandparents.
Through her formative years, she developed an intense interest in art and poetry. She had always loved music, and was raised in a house that constantly played classic and alternative rock.
During high school, Felicia was a reporter and music editor for the school’s news publication. She also played a role in her friend’s college senior thesis film, which was her first and only exposure to cinema.
2009-Present
Out of high school, Felicia went to go work on a 80 acre farm upstate in California wine country. As part of the commune, Felicia cooked meals for groups of up to 19 people, worked in the vineyard cleaning the vines, helped bottle and cork wine, and worked on a massive crop of marijuana. At the farm, Felicia met a variety of interesting people from all over the world. It was here she learned to play guitar and merge her poetry with music. She cherished every moment on the farm due to the natural beauty, lack of technological devices, and the interesting cast of characters that constantly changed.
Following the work on the vineyard, she held a variety of odd jobs for a few years including front desk at a hotel, a short run in fast food, an even shorter run at The Grand Hotel, Research and Development for medical/hospital grade equipment, and selling her homemade goods in local farmers markets/street fairs.
When she was in her early twenties, Felicia lived in Honolulu for the good part of a year. She spent most of her time on the sand and exploring the island. On a visit to the Honolulu Zoo she had a very intense stare down with a tiger that resulted in a monsoon. During her time on the island Felicia discovered the pleasures of drinking alcoholic beverages on the beach and watching the sun set and rise.
After returning to the mainland, she continued her passion of yarn crafts and selling her wares at street markets with her mother. She named her shop Crochetty Betty and at one point had an Etsy online store where she sold her goods consisting of Nintendo DS carrying cases, clothing, and accessories. For a couple of years she lived with her parents at their new home in a rural area in the mountains of San Diego. It was there Felicia was involved in a traumatic accident involving a gang of pit bulls and the family terrier, resulting in her breaking her dominant hand, receiving sixteen stitches on her forehead, and damage to her right hand. After extensive physical therapy, she left her family, cat, and dog behind and headed to the east coast. She continued her physical and emotional healing in Brooklyn, and eventually went back to work as a waitress at Mitsuba Sushi restaurant in central New York.[9]
In 2019 she left New York and is now back in her home state of California.
