Amy Waters Davidson is the wife of Scott Davidson who lost his life saving others in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. She is also the mother of the popular comedian, Pete Davidson. Amy, alongside with her famous son Pete Davidson, has made multiple appearances on SNL.

Biography

Amy Waters was born in 1969 into a christian family in the United States. She studied in the United States Local School. Amy got married to Scott Davidson, and together they gave birth to two children - Pete Michael Davidson, who was born on 16th of November 1993, and a his younger sister, Casey Davidson.

Professionally, Amy Water is a trained nurse who once work as a nurse at Xaverian High School, one of the high school attended by her son.

The Davidsons family lived a happy American family life until the tragic events of September 11, 2001, took her husband's life who died as a firefighter died while combating the fallout of the terrorist attack. Following the tragic event, Amy became a rock for her two children and nurtured her son to become one of the most renowned comedian in America.

Amy Waters Davidson currently lives in Staten Island with her son, Pete, in a mansion bought for $4.5 million in 2018.[2][4]

Amy Waters Support Her Son's Career

A lot of parent, especially mothers would comfortably say they support their children's professional pursuits and the same is the case of Pete Davidson and his mom.

Amy became an unmoveable pillar for Pete after he decided he wants to become a comedian.

According to her interview with The New York Times, during Pete's developmental phase as a comedian, she devoted herself to driving him right to Manhattan from Staten Island for stand giggs. She has never took her support from him despite Pete rolling shocking jokes about his mother and her sex life.

Amy Has Made Multiple Appearances on ‘Saturday Night Live’

She first appeared in 2015, when Pete Davidson joined the cast of the show in apologizing for their youthful transgression. She made her similar appearance in which her son paid tribute to her for raising him and his sister as a single mother during the show's Weekend Update segment.

Also in May 2018, Mother's Day episode of “ Saturday Night Live,” Davidson has paid tribute to his mother in person. As cast members’ mothers were introduced to the audience in a sketch, it was the Davidsons who closed it out. Amy tells her son,

“I’m so proud of you, Pete.

I just don’t like it when you do all the penis jokes.”

To which Davidson responds

“Well, not tonight mom — because Mother’s Day is all about vaginas.”

Amy Waters is still a Single Woman

Amy chose to remain single since losing her husband in 2001.

She chose to focus her attention on raising her children over her romantic relationship. Pete even openly complain about it in an episode of the Netflix show, Dressing Funny, where he propositioned men to get his mom laid.[3]
