Scott Davidson (Firefighter) (January 4, 1968 - September 11, 2001), was an American firefighter, athlete‚ teacher‚ coach‚ and bartender. He passed away on September 11‚ 2001 while on duty. He was the father of Pete Davidson. He will be portrayed in the upcoming film The King of Staten Island on June 12, 2020. [1] [14] [17]
Biography
Early Life & Education
Scott Davidson was born on Thursday, January 4, 1968, in Brooklyn, New York, United States. Davidson is remembered as being a firefighter‚ an athlete‚ a teacher‚ a coach‚ and a bartender. He was known as being selfless and dedicated himself to his community in many ways.[1]
He was looked up to by numerous individuals as a basketball coach and teacher.
He enjoyed life, and all it brought to the table.
He was a relentless competitor who won many awards.
He was an all-star baseball player in the Great Kills Little League.
He played four years of basketball at St. Joseph by the Sea High School, where he was named the most valuable player in the Jacques Classic All-Star High School game in 1986.[14]
He received a bachelor's degree in history from the College of Staten Island, where he played on the basketball team for all four years‚ and was captain his senior year. [1]
Death
Scott Davidson died on September 11, 2001.
He is survived by his two children‚ Peter Davidson and Casey Davidson‚ his wife Amy Waters Davidson, his father Stephen Davidson‚ his mother Carla DiMaggio‚ his stepmother Linda Davidson‚ and his brother Michael Davidson.[1]
Career
Scott Davidson began his career after he graduated from the National Fire Academy. He worked at Ladder Company 118 in Brooklyn Heights‚ New York. Then he started working as a firefighter in the New York City Fire Department on January 16‚ 1994. Scott died while on duty.[13]
Trivia
The most valuable things to Scott were his two children‚ his son Peter‚ and his daughter Casey.
He was very proud of them‚ and he was delighted while coaching them.
He believes being a firefighter is the greatest profession in America.[1]

Scott Davidson who was a casualty of the September 11 attacks was honored among his families, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and well-wishers.
