Avi Zolty
Avi Zolty is a South African-American entrepreneur and angel investor. Previously, he founded Skurt, Ivory Clasp and BeatDeck and served as the Chief Marketing Officer at CTRL Collective.
Avi grew up in Atlanta, lives in Los Angeles, California and was born in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Early Life
Born in South Africa, Avi's family immigrated to the United States in the early 1990's.
Avi grew up in a religious-Jewish environment studying Jewish Law, Talmud, half of the day. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia at 13 years old. Avi was interested in business from an early age, founding his first business at 15 years old. At 18 years old he founded a teen-nightclub named 'Club Saturn'. He then expanded to raves, founding the first and largest dubstep promotion company in the South-East, DubSTOMP. Avi moved to California in late 2012 to join the winter batch of Y Combinator where he applied without an idea, and subsequently sold trustable.com. His Y Combinator company was BeatDeck. Avi attended the University of Cambridge.

Avi served as the Chief Marketing Officer for CTRL Collective, a premium co-working space located in Los Angeles and Denver.

Avi is the founder and lead executive for Earfleek, a monthly earring subscription.
Skurt (Exited)
Avi was the founder and Chief Marketing Officer of the on-demand car rental company Skurt.

Avi founded ran the marketing for Ivory Clasp, a premier subscription for branded women's handbags.
He also helped launch multiple brands that were under the Signal Brands and Happy Gifts Brands line including: With212, A.V.I Accessories and Republic of Aces.
Beatdeck (Acquired)
Avi founded and ran the marketing for BeatDeck. Beatdeck was an big-data A&R system to help major labels discover talent. This included working closely with 300Ent and assisted in the discovery of Post Malone.
