Career
LolTyler1 has had over 94 million views on Twitch.tv, a livestreaming platform. He is notable for being loud and bellicose on stream, sometimes being featured in IRL Streams with other gamers. [0]
According to an older version of his Twitch page, he was ranked 13th in the world during the 2014 season. He played almost exclusively Draven, a hero notorious for being rewarded in gold for kills.
After a 2 year ban due to toxicity, on January 8th of 2018, loltyler1 was unbanned from League of Legends, streaming in a Cosplay of Draven. It was the most viewed livestream of the year, with over 350,000 live viewers. [0]
The reason why Tyler1 was banned is because he would swear at players and be abusive in chat.
He would also leave his keyboard for several hours at a time on stream.
For many League players, Tyler1’s most egregious misconduct involved the practice of “inting.”
This meant Tyler1 would intentionally allow the opposing players to kill him, giving them money and experience points until they were able to overwhelm his team.
He would often do this in response to other League players not giving him certain buffs he wanted.
When he began growing a reputation as “The Most Toxic Player in North America,” Tyler1’s channel drew more viewers, and he began intentionally trolling games.
As of December 2018, Tyler has 363K followers on Twitter, 358K followers on Instagram, 1.4M subscribers on YouTube and 2M followers on Twitch. [1] [7]
