Career
Tim Mak at first worked for the National Post and FrumForum, David Frum's Neoconservative website, before being employed by Politico where he was assigned to breaking news and later the defense industry. [1] In 2013, Mak was hired by the Washington Examiner and covered national security and Congressional issues as part of their political team. [1] A year later, Mak joined Politico as a Senior Congressional Correspondent where his beats are national security, intelligence, the role of race in politics, criminal justice reform and the 2016 presidential campaign. On August 11th, 2014, Mak published an article titled "Democrats Pay Black Staffers 30% Less," and goes into detail how minorities are often given jobs on campaigns where the least amount of money is spent.
