Controversy
In April 2020, Jamora accused clothing brand Oh Polly of failing to pay her for cancelled shoots. She posted a series of messages online claiming company chiefs owe her money after several work projects were called off. One of the jobs is said to have been called off at the last-minute due to the wildfires in California that caused chaos in the state the previous year. Jamora claims she should still get paid even though the shoot was cancelled because of the dangerous conditions.[50]
In a post on Instagram, she wrote: When you think of your BIG goal, sometimes you start feeling overwhelmed.
Why?
Because big goals don’t get achieved right away.
Instead, you need to create mini goals to help excite you along the way.
This way you can be more goal-orientated and build a habit of being more effective.
Celebrating your small wins will help you stay motivated through your journey.
Plus, celebrating is always super fun.
Maybe you break your goal down to 10 small-sized goals with tasks that get you on track to achieve them.
For each of the 10 goals you can add a small celebration.
Maybe a glass of champagne for one or a dessert with a sparkler on top for another.

This goes back to the positive environment point: You need to be around others who are just as ambitious as you.
American entrepreneur John Rohn once said, “You’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with it.”
And whether or not that’s true is debatable, the reality is being around the right kind of people can only help you grow.
If you’re surrounded by those who love your ambition, you’ll be more ambitious and achieve more.
If you’re surrounded by loved ones who tell you your goals are stupid and tell you to change them, you need to avoid them.
Be around those who help you feel comfortable being the ambitious, go-getter you are, so you can become the successful person you’re meant to be.
"How is it fair as a model to be confirmed on a booking and get it cancelled within 24 hours and the client feel the need not to pay.

"Also considering my health and safety as a huge company you shoudl check news reports such as fires [sic] and not put people in your employment in such extreme conditions.
@ohpolly has not responded to any of this because they will continue to use my images anyway."[50]
One of the statements she posted included a message from an Oh Polly representative, who insisted the company does not owe Jamora any money.
The message was written to one of Jamora's pals from a customer service manager after she posted about the situation.
It read:
"We do not owe Sofia any money.
There were fires in LA meaning a shoot had to be cancelled and her agency agreed we didn't need to pay her as she didn't have to work.
All hair and MUAs also agreed payment would not be required..."[50]
Jamora has insisted she was not represented by an agency at the time.[50]
