On July 14, 2016 Sean and his son, Brodie Copeland perished in the terrorist attack Bastille Day Attack 2016 in Nice, France on Bastille Day. ^[undefined] The gunman, identified as a 31 year old French-Tunisian man, Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel who lived in Nice, drove a large box truck for more than a mile through the crowd, and then used a pistol to shoot people. ^[undefined]
