Savanna Lafontaine-Greywind was a 22-year-old young woman who lived in North Dakota. She was missing for 8 days before her body was discovered near Red River on August 27th, 2017.
Life and Activities

Savanna was originally from Belcourt, North Dakota and later moved to Tokio, North Dakota. She is of Indigenous Native American descent. Savanna went on to study Cankdeska Cikana Community College and became a Certified Nurse Assistant. Savanna was employed at several facilities including Eventide Senior Living Communities, Heartland Care Center and Eventide at Shayenne Crossings-Transitional Care. She recently became enrolled at North Dakota State University and was living with her family in a North Fargo apartment.
Savanna was an Equestrian, frequently posting photos while riding Horses. Her mother said that she was a very social person who was constantly posting on Facebook and texting her friends and family.
Among many relatives, Greywind (Spirit Lake Dakota and Turtle Mountain Chippewa) is left behind by her parents, Norberta LaFontaine-Greywind and Joe Greywind, her companion and father of her child, Ashton Matheny and their infant daughter, Haisley Jo.
The baby is now being talked care of by Ashton and relatives.
Disappearance

Savanna was last seen on August 19, 2017, at her North Fargo apartment at 2825 9th St. N. between 1:30-2:30 pm.
She was heading to her upstairs neighbor in the apartment complex she lived in, to model a dress for $20, but never returned home.
While texting her boyfriend, she randomly stopped responding.
Savanna is 5'4'', has long brown hair, green eyes, and has an intricate dream-catcher tattoo on her leg.
On August 24, 2017 police taped up Savanna's apartment building after finding a newborn baby there.
The baby girl was taken to the hospital and is healthy; she was confirmed as Savanna's daughter.
The baby that was discovered, was in the apartment where William Hoehn and Brooke Crews lived. Both were brought in for questioning, and later arrested and charged with class A Felony Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping. [1]
Savanna's family searched in Trollwood Park in Fargo on August 25, 2017 at 2:30 pm after her grandpa had a dream that she would be found near a body a water.
A woman posted a Facebook comment saying that her tarot cards told her that Savanna would be near water and well.
Police are looking for information concerning a brown 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4 door with MN 876 EPR plates.
