Adam Ferrone (born April 25, 1988) better known as Rone, is a battle rapper, blogger, actor and travel show host for Barstool Sports. He is resides in New York City but is originally from Philadelphia. [3]
Education
Rone (Adam Ferrone) attended Pennsylvania State University to study Journalism. [10] During his stay, Ferrone auditioned for a campus theatre production called "Hip-Hop Project: Insight into the Hip-Hop Generation". Penn State School of Theatre instructor Steve Broadnax, gave Ferronea chance to practice his freestyling skills on stage. He even had an impromptu rap battle with Charles Hamilton, an Ohio-based rapper who was performing in State College. Ferrone considers the experience to be what launched his hip hop career. [10]
Career
Barstool Sports
Alongside Caleb Pressley, Rone co-hosts the Barstool Travel Show and is the host of Barstool's Music channel Young and Happy. As a blogger, he writes about Philadelphia sports and other topics surrounding pop culture and Barstool culture. [4]
In June 2020, Barstool Sports formed a Call of Duty team.
The team is called Barstool HooliganZ, and the roster consists of Barstool personalities and producers Adam "Smitty" Smith, Handsome Hank (Henry Lockwood), Glenny Balls and Muj Fricke. Adam Ferrone will be the head coach.[22]
Music Career
Ferrone has a record deal with Raw Life Records, a Philadelphia-based label co-owned by Grammy-winning hip-hop producer Dice Raw. As a battle rapper, Rone has 42 battles catalogued and is a 2-time King of the Dot champion. [6]
Rone release his first album, The First Story, on June 19 of 2012. His second album, Real Deal - The Mountains And Molehills came out in 2015 and he released his third album, Steak, on his 30th birthday. The first major artist he opened for was Asher Roth at "Wallypalooza". His next big show was with Wiz Khalifa at The Cell Block.
Acting
Adam Ferrone played Smiley in the crime-drama Oliver Twisted and a groom in the comedy Bodied. He also appeared on the television movie Rap Report. [11]
