Nathaniel Jouett is an American high school freshman at Clovis High School. He resides in Clovis, New Mexico. [18]

Nathaniel Jouett is the son of Chris Jouett and Nicole Jouett. He is in a relationship with Davena Stevens. Nathaniel is a fan of heavy metal and has pictures of bands like Slipknot, Disturbed, and Hollywood Undead on his Facebook. At one point, he listed the Krusty Krab as his employment.

A family member stated that Jouett struggled with a methamphetamine addiction from the age of 13. Jouett had also been suffering suicidal tendencies and severe anxiety attacks in recent months.

Pastor Bonetta Hutson stated he had an ambition to turn his life around, but wound up getting suspended from school last week after he was jumped in a bathroom and found himself involved in a physical altercation.

On August 28, 2017, Jouett was taken into custody after committing a mass shooting at the Clovis-Carver Public Library in Clovis, New Mexico. At least six people were shot, two fatally.

Jouett posted on Snapchat, just before the shooting. Wanda Walters and Krissie Carter, both librarians at the library were identified as the victims.

A 10-year-old boy and his 20-year-old sister, were also injured in the shooting.

Nathaniel had two handguns on him.

Jouett will face two counts of first degree murder, four counts of assault with intent to commit a violent felony, four counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of child abuse.

He is currently detained at a juvenile detention center.
