He is the older brother of Marvin Roberts. ^{[2] [1]}

On September 9, 2017, Maurice was taken into custody in connection to the murder of Gerard Grandzol. ^[1]Grandzol was shot outside his Melon Street residence at about 8:00 p.m. local time on Thursday September 7, 2017. ^[1]

Grandzol was approached by Maurice and Marvin who took his wallet.

When asked to hand over his car keys, Grandzol did not resist, but wanted to get his 2-year-old daughter out of the car.
