Marvin Roberts is an American resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ^{[0] [1] [2]}

He is the younger brother of Maurice Roberts. ^{[1] [0] [2]}

On September 9, 2017, Marvin and Maurice were taken into custody in connection to the murder of Gerard Grandzol. ^{[1] [2]} Grandzol was shot outside his Melon Street residence at about 8:00 p.m. local time on Thursday September 7, 2017. ^{[1] [2]}

Grandzol was approached by Maurice and Marvin who took his wallet.

When asked to hand over his car keys, Grandzol did not resist, but wanted to get his 2-year-old daughter out of the car.

Marvin felt that Grandzol wasn’t moving fast enough, and shot him in twice in the head.

^{[1] [2]} Grandzol was taken by police to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he died at 9:42 p.m. ^{[2] [1]}

Marvin has been charged with murder, robbery, carjacking, criminal conspiracy, possession of an instrument of a crime, reckless endangerment, and numerous violations of the uniform firearms act.

He will also be charged as an adult.
