Early Life
Education
Lorena developed an interest in Travel and News when travelling all around the worth with the family. She is a graduate of Florida International University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. She also studied Anthropology and Sociology there from 2005-2010. She is also fluent in Greek and Spanish language along with English.
Career
Lorena Estrada served as an Intern while studying at Florida International University. She worked for a month as a Production Assistant for the Today Show at NBC Universal while she was studying at Florida International University. She also served as Investigative Unit intern at WTVJ, Consumer Intern at WFTS-TV and Intern at WFOR-TV.[2]
She graduated with double majors from Florida University and joined CBS News as Production Assistant for the early show on WVLT-TV, Knoxville, Tennessee. She also worked as a weekend anchor and reporter. At WVLT, She has covered many biggest stories, including tornadoes in 2011 that devastated the community, Political campaign 2012 to undocumented immigrants fighting deportation. She has also worked for an Nonprofit organization named, East Tennessee’s Centro Hispano, which helped and served the Hispanic community in Tennessee Area. [1][2]
