Leyla Naghizada now Leyla Xeroulis was born on June 6, 1984, in Baku, Azerbaijan. Her parents’ names are not known. She has a sibling, a younger sister named Mimi Ikonn Naghizada, she is two years older than her sister. ^[2]

She grew up and lived in Azerbaijan with her family until when she was 18 years old and she and her family moved to Toronto, Canada. Growing up, she had always had an interest in hair and fashion. ^[2]

While her sister was getting ready for her wedding day, she helped her to search for hair extensions that she could wear during her wedding ceremony.

However, when her sister tried it on, she was very disappointed.

The hair extensions were thin and weighed only about 80 grams.

They realized that affordable but well-made hair extensions were missing in the market.

Her sister’s husband, who had prior experience in the financial sector, also joined the new business as a partner.
