Justine Ruszczyk (Justine Damond)

Justine Ruszczyk was an Australian native residing in Fulton, Minneapolis with her fiancé.

She was fatally shot by Minneapolis Police Department officers on July 15, 2017.

She was originally from Sydney but had been living in the U.S. for three years and was engaged to marry American businessman Don Damond.

Death

On July 15, 2017, just before 11:30 p.m., two officers from the Minneapolis Police Department, responded to a 911 call of a possible assault just north of the 5100 block of Washburn Avenue street.

At one point, Officer Mohamed Noor fired his weapon, fatally striking Justine.
