Don Miller Damond is a Vice president and Manager of Little Six Casino in Minnesota, the fiance of the Justine Ruszczyk (Damond), killed shot by the police.
Personal Life
Don Damond currently lives in Minneapolis with 22-year-old son Zach. [5]In August, 2017 he was to marry Justine Ruszczyk (Damond), who died from the gunshot on July 15, 2017. [8]
Career
Since February, 2013, Don is a Vice president and Manager of Little Six Casino, that is owned and operated by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community as part of the SMSC Gaming Enterprises comprised of Mystic Lake Casino and Hotel and Little Six Casino. As Vice president and General Manager, Don is responsible for the property strategic planning, overall profitability, financial budgeting, marketing strategy, customer service strategy, food and beverage operations, Tribal, State and Federal regulatory compliance including all Title 31 and FinCEN regulations. Between April, 2001 and February, 2013, he was a Director of Gaming Operations at Mystic Lake Casino and Hotel. There his responsibilities embraced the operation of a staff up to 800 employees; directing operations of three departments through strategic planning, budget development and implementation of effective operational systems; ensuring all operations comply with all federal, state and tribal regulations and evaluating and developing gaming processes to ensure the highest level of asset protection. Previuosly, he was a professional musician, Electric Bass player. Currently he works with collegues on recording projects and continues to write his own music to record a CD. [2]
