Julie Ruth Hirschfeld Davis (born April 17, 1975) is an American reporter and pundit lives in Washington D.C. She is well known for her role as a White House correspondent for the New York Times. Julie Hirschfeld Davis is also currently a political analyst for CNN.
Early Life & Education
Julie Hirschfeld Davis was born Julie Ruth Hirschfeld on April 17, Julie Hirschfeld Davis to parents James Hirschfeld and Janet Rubner in Englewood, New Jersey. [1] has a sister Jennie Hirschfeld who is three years older than her. Julie's mother Janet passed away on October 27, 1998. Janet had worked as an assistant to the director of the Ethical Culture Fieldston School, in Manhattan, Riverdale, and The Bronx. Julie's father James Hirschfeld is a retired television producer and director. He worked on ''The Captain Kangaroo Show'' on CBS and later became a movie reviewer for Buzzguide.com, an online entertainment guide in Manhattan. Julie grew up in Manhattan and graduated from the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in 1993.

Julie Hirschfeld Davis has worked as a White House correspondent for the New York Times based out of Washington D.C since June, 2014. In August 2017, she became a political analyst for CNN.
From January 2011 to April 2014, Julie Hirschfeld Davis worked as a Political Reporter for Bloomberg News . She previously worked as Political Reporter for the Associated Press from February 2007 to December 2010 and a White House correspondent for the Baltimore Sun from June 2002 to January 2007. From September, 1997 to May, 2002 she was a Senior Writer at Congressional Quarterly .

Julie Hirschfeld Davis was winner of the 2009 Everett McKinley Dirksen Award for Distinguished Reporting of Congress from the National Press Foundation for her coverage of the United States federal government's response to the 2008 financial crisis.
Personal Life
On March 25, 2001 Julie Hirschfeld Davis married Jonathan Davis in a Jewish wedding officiated by Rabbi Richard Jacobs at the Yale Club in Manhattan. At the time of their wedding, Jonathan Davis was the senior vice president for software development at the Adrenaline Group, computer consultants in Washington D.C.
