Jessica Houlgrave is an entrepreneur, art enthusiast, and blockchain enthusiast based in London.

Education

Houlgrave earned her Master's degree in economics and management from the Saïd Business School in 2010. She attained an M.A. in Art Business from the Sotheby's Institute of Art in 2017 and wrote a thesis that focused on how Blockchain could work within the art ecosystem.

Early in her career, Houlgrave was a Development Intern for Exeter College at the University of Oxford and a Conference Manager for the annual political and economic conference, Oxford Analystica.

She joined Credit Suisse as an Analyst in 2010 and focused on IPOs, public-to-private takeover, M&A transactions and debt restructuring in the United Kingdom. Three years later, she joined OPTrust as an Associate Portfolio Mananger and helped run a private equity fund in Europe.

Since completing the program at the Sotheby's Institute of Art, Houlgrave has gone on to consult for several galleries, institutions, and artists on the subject of blockchain and how it could be applied to the art world. She was also the Client Liaison in the Bids Department for Sotheby's. In September 2017, Houlgrave became the Co-Founder and COO of the Codex Protocol, a decentralized title registry aimed at art and collectibles.

In 2018, Houlgrave became a Co-Founder of shEOS.
