James Hodgkinson (December 12, 1950 - June 14, 2017) was a home Inspector and gardener from Belleville, Illinois. On June 14, 2017, he opened fire at several Republican Party (United States) lawmakers practicing for the Congressional Baseball Game in Alexandria, Virginia.

James Facebook profile shows support for Bernie Sanders, FDR, and reformist causes while containing a few posts that were derisive toward President Trump and his organization considering him a trickster among different abuses. His number one television programs incorporate Last Week Tonight, Democracy Now, The Rachel Maddow Show, Real Time with Bill Maher and The Daily Show. James was a piece of various left-inclining Facebook gatherings, for example, The Road To Hell Is Paved With Republicans*, Join The Resistance Worldwide!!, Rachel Maddow For President 2020, The Democrats*, and so on
James chipped in for Bernie Sanders' Presidential Campaign.
He saw Hillary Clinton as Republican Lite and needed Bernie to be the Green Party (US) up-and-comer when he lost.

On the morning of June 14, 2017, Republican Congressmen and their staff were
practicing for the Congressional softball game in the Del Ray, Alexandria, VA neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia. Around 7 am, Hodgkinson opened fire on the baseball field. Five people, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and two Capitol Hill Police Officers, were injured. Scalise was shot in the hip. Hodgkinson was also shot and died from his injuries. The weapon he used was an SKS and witnesses report hearing 50 gunshots. The duration of the incident was between 5-10 minutes.
Hodgkinson was shot to death by United States Capitol Police officers Crystal Griner and David Bailey. Griner and Bailey were both shot and wounded. [1]
Personal Life
James experienced childhood in Belleville, Illinois and went to Belleville High School-West.
He examined flight preparing at Southwestern Illinois College.
He is the previous proprietor of JTH Construction and was a form and air quality controller.
His home examination permit lapsed in November 2016 and he didn't reestablish it.
James has been depicted by his previous legal counselor as a touchy irate little man.

Suzanne Hodgkinson was his significant other and lived with her at their home in Belleville, Illinois.
The Hodgkinsons brought up a few Foster youngsters including one, Wanda Ashley Stock, who committed suicide in 1996 at 17 years old by soaking herself with fuel and setting herself ablaze after only a while with the Hodgkinsons.
Criminal History
In 1993, James was charged with Driving under the influence and other traffic offenses and in 2006 he was charged with Battery (crime) for pulling his daughter's hair and assaulting her boyfriend during a fight with his daughter's friend. The friend, named Aimee Moreland, has said of Hodgkinson: “Do I think he’s capable (of the shooting)? Definitely. It sounds really awful, but I’m not surprised. Every interaction I’ve had I’ve thought ‘that guy’s crazy.'”[1]
He was not charged in 2006 because Moreland missed her court date.

Officers who were part of Rep. Steve Scalise's security detail returned fire, wounding the shooter. He later died from his injuries.
