Early Life & Education
Emerald Robinson grew up in Appalachia a coal miner. Emerald Robinson graduated from University of Virginia's College at Wise in 2003; she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications and an emphasis in Broadcast. [6] [7]
Career
Emerald Robinson's journalism experience includes entertainment, culture, political, and economic beats. She began her career as a journalist hosting the Daily
Orbit, a daily syndicated science news show providing science and Technology headlines. [8]
In 2016, Emerald Robinson filmed a docu-series entitled Improbable Success. It is a three-part series in which she visits Switzerland, Chile, and Estonia with Richard W. Rahn to learn about how to reduce poverty in the Appalachia region and learn from other countries' successes. [6] The documentaries detailed global economic policy for each country, respectively. [8]
