Early Life
Grinshpan originally hails from Toronto, Canada. In secondary school, she would watch the Food Network Canada in order to procrastinate from her homework, and her favorites programs to watch were Barefoot Contessa, Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson and Iron chef Japan. [5]
Education and Travel
Grinshpan is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in London and earned a "Grande Diplome" in both Pastry and Cuisine. Later, she went to enroll in a management program at The Institute of Culinary Education. [14]
After completing her studies at Le Cordon Bleu, Grinshpan went on to travel the world, making stops in Southeast Asia and India and living in Israel for a year. [5]
Career
While Grinshpan was in India, she volunteered at an orphanage and reopened a vacant cafe on the premises. All of the money made from the cafe went towards the orphanage. She taped the entire process of opening the cafe and having children assist her in the kitchen. [7] When she returned home, Grinshpan moved to New York City and got a job at the vegan bakery Babycakes in the Lower East Side. [17] She was able to get the tape into the right hands and develop a show for the Cooking Channel, which eventually became Eden Eats. [7]
Grinshpan is the co-owner of EthNicitY Productions.
She is the host of Eden Eats, where she travels from coast to coast to discover the vast range of culinary diversity that exists in America. [1]
Personal Life
Grinshpan is married and has two kids.
When she cooks, she enjoys listening to music, especially Drake. [4]
