David Talbott (born 28/10/1942) is a comparative mythologist in the tradition of Immanuel Velikovsky.^[1]

David Talbott revived the student Magazine, Pensée (Immanuel Velikovsky Reconsidered), as co-publisher with his brother Stephen L. Talbott as editor in 1970. He is the author of The Saturn Myth (1980) and is the subject of the documentary, Remembering the End of the World (1996).^[9]

He authored with Wallace Thornhill, Thunderbolts of the Gods (2005) andThe Electric Universe (2007), and has contributed articles to Kronos: A Journal of Interdisciplinary Synthesis, and Aeon journals, the latter having been founded by him in 1987. He has a B.S. from Portland State University.^[4]

He is the founder and director of The Thunderbolts Project.^[5]
