During the gang rape, Banks penetrated the unconscious woman with a water bottle and touched her vagina.

After Banks and McKenzie fled the dorm to their room four floors up, video surveillance shows the woman partially clothed on the hallway floor. Vandenburg called his teammates for help and put the woman back in his bed. [undefined]

A source close to one of the defendants said that Vanderbilt coach James Franklin tried to cover up the rape and told a player to delete a video from the gang rape after the player showed it to Franklin. [666666]

In June 2015, Banks was charged and convicted of aggravated rape, attempted aggravated rape and aggravated sexual battery charges.

Judge Monte Watkins declared a mistrial and set aside the convictions because one of the jurors had failed to disclose that he himself had been a victim of rape.
