Austin Mostrong is a 20 year old resident of Santee, California, a suburb of San Diego. He is the boyfriend of Hailey Suder the older brother of Preston Mostrong. [4]
Allegations
Austin Mostrong and his younger brother Preston Mostrong were arrested and charged with kidnapping, torturing, robbing and beating a 50 year old homeless man, George Lowery, to death. Austin Mostrong's cheerleader girlfriend, Hailey Suder was also charged for her involvement in the attack. [4]
George Lowery was found after the attack bloodied, beaten, and hogtied in a riverbed, gurgling blood by his wife. He was hospitalized but died five days later due to his injuries. [4]
The altercation started when the brothers were shooting another homeless man with a paintball gun.

tried to protect the man they were shooting by taking the paintball gun away from them.
Afterwards Austin and his brother robbed, kidnapped, tortured, and beat George Lowery to death. [4]
Austin, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of battery and resisting an officer just four days before the attack.
He pleaded guilty to the charges and was given probation.
