Andrew Spieles is a student at James Madison University.

In 2016, as Lead Organizer for HarrisonburgVOTES, In 2016 election,he registered 19 dead people to vote. Spieles is a Democrat and was also running for Caucus Chair of the Virginia Young Democrats.

According to his now deleted LinkedIn account, he is a Political science major at James Madison University with a passion for Politics and Campaigning. Conservative media have joked that he helped Hillary Clinton open up a wide lead among dead voters. ^[1]

A clerk remembered one of the deceased individuals Spieles tried to register as a former elementary school teacher. He was a principal and a WWII veteran who died in 2014 at age 87. An investigation into the rest of Spieles' filings found the other 18 registrations for deceased persons. ^[1]

HarrisonburgVotes has deleted their web page and social media accounts.

It was run by a prominent local Democrat, Joseph Fitzgerald, former mayor of Harrisonburg. ^[1] He has refused comment.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident for potential Voter fraud. ^[1]
