Alan Horujko is a police officer for Ohio State University. He is 28-year-old and has been a the force at the University since January 2015. ^[1]

On November 28, 2016, Officer Horujko was in the area investigating a gas leak when Abdul Artan began attacking people outside Watts Hall on the Ohio State University campus. Within a minute of the attack, Officer Horujko shot Artan dead, ending the incident and savings a number of lives. ^[1]

Officer Horujko graduated from Ohio State University in 2012 and studied security and intelligence. While attending college, Horujko met his future wife, Jacqueline Black, in 2007 in their Freshman dorm, Steeb Hall. The two remained friends throughout the years and it would not be until 2014 after several rejections from Jacqueline that she agreed to go on a first date with Alan. Two years later, he proposed to her in Chicago. Their wedding is set to happen in October of 2017 at the Our Lady of Victory Church in Columbus, Ohio.
