On November 28, 2016, just before 10 a.m, a shooting was reported at Ohio State University.

Later reports clarified that a suspect, Abdul Artan,drove his car at people outside a building evacuatwd by a fire alarm.

He than went after them with a large blade.

A dozen people were injured and the suspect killed by an Ohio State University police officer Alan Horujko.

Artan is a refugee from Somalia who came to the U.S. in 2014 after fleeing to Pakistan in 2007.

The school newspaper had interviewed him before the attack and he was concerned about his public prayers and how other students perceived him.

A Facebook post suggests he was motivated by Muslim deaths and victimization in the face of Western interventions.

Ohio State University police tweeted before 10:00a.m.,

an active shooter situation. ^[0]The

school also made a tweet alerting students to "Run Hide Fight."^[-1]At

least seven people have been transported to the hospital. Their

conditions have not been released. ^{[0] [1]}

Gunshots were first reported inside Watts Hall.

^{[0] [1]}A fire alarm was pulled, people cleared Watts Hall, then a car came along and started hitting those who evacuated.

The attacker then reportedly got out of the car and started stabbing and slashing victims, he was then shot dead by a responding officer.

A professor was slashed in the leg with a machete.

^[0]One suspect was killed.

^[0]Two men, one black and white, were also brought out of the parking lot building in handcuffs.
