William Atchison was a 21 year-old mass shooter responsible for the Aztec High School Shooting that took the lives of two students in a random attack ^{[1] [2]}

Atchison lived in San Juan County for most of his life. Before his death he lived with his parents and worked at a gas station. In all his life, the closest thing to having a criminal record was a traffic ticket. ^[2]

He is a graduate of Aztec High School. ^[1]

At around 8:00 a.m. local time, Thursday, November 7th, 2017, Atchison entered the premises of Aztec High School with a backpack while carrying a.9mm Glock with multiple magazines.
