On Thursday, December 7th, 2017, authorities responded to a shooting at a high school in northwest New Mexico.
[0]An unnamed suspect open fired on a group of students within the Aztec High School premises. The gunman killed two people and injured 15 others. [8]Law enforcement later reported that the gunman was also killed though as of yet, it has not been confirmed how he died. [6]
The shooting
According to the San Juan County Sheriff’s office, Aztec High School, a school of about 1,000 students near the Colorado border, was evacuated after a gunman open fired, injuring close to 15 people and killing two.
Other schools in the area were also placed on lockdown and evacuated.
The FBI and New Mexico state police are investigating.
