The evening of October 16th in Independence, Missouri in the area of Winner Road and Sterling Avenue, a Toyota Sequoia driven by Christopher Taylor was tailgating Gray's vehicle.

Gray was driving her two young children and a 16-year-old relative.

When Taylor passed Gray, he nearly caused a collision.

In rage, someone from Gray's vehicle through a drink at Taylor which exploded inside his vehicle.

In rage, Taylor shot Gray, resulting in her death.

Taylor was found 700 miles away fleeing the incident in Box Elder, South Dakota.

Taylor is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of Whitney Gray.
