Tyler Jon Olson (born January 1, 1970) is a professional American actor and producer known for his role in 2018 movie Gotti, series The Big Bang Theory and the upcoming 2020 movie Survive the Night. [1]
Early Life
Tyler Jon Olson was born on January 1, 1970 in Seattle, Washington. His parents’ names are not known, he has a brother whose name is also not known.[2]
Tyler Jon Olson always loved watching movies as a kid and his mom would take him and his brother to the cinema. During Halloween, his mom would dress him and his brothers as superheroes. [1]
He grew up playing basketball, from his backyard where he would shoot hoops every day and attends practices after school.
He went to high school and college in Washington.
During college, he took to attending a commercial acting class with a local agency in Seattle before he moved to LA County in 1999 to pursue his acting career.
Career
After moving to Los Angeles, California, he did stand-up comedy and comedic sketches for almost four years. At the same time he also attended acting classes every night which was 20 dollars per class.
He began his acting career when he made a debut in a 1997 movie Profontaine, from then on he got roles in movies like What’s the Worst That Could Happen which was produced in 2001, this helped to project his career.
In 2003, he got the role of Jim Stacy in the movie Mr. Jinx, and in 2005 he played the role of a Recon Marine in the movie Jarhead.
She was casted in many other movies like The Lifestyle, These Days, Lesbob, Thirtyish, Tandem, The Prince.
His other movies are Vice (2015), Heist III (2015), Extraction II (2015), Hickey (2016), Precious Cargo (2016), Marauders (2016), Arsenal (2017), Gotti (2018), Escape Plan 2: Hades (2018), Backtrace (2018), Escape Plan: The Extractors (2019), and 10 Minutes Gone (2019). [2]
His newest movie are Survive the Night, where he played the role of Mathias, Force of Nature where he played the role of Dillion, Boss Level where he played the role of Randall.
These movies are produced in 2020 but will soon be released to the public for viewing.
He is currently filming “Open Source” and “Midnight in the Switchgrass”, date of release is yet to be announced.
Personal Life
Before moving to Los Angeles, California, he moved to Newport Beach, California which was a 45 minutes’ drive from LA ,with his friend and stay there for a few months. He has been in LA for more than 20 years. [3]
He is in a relationship with a woman named Erin, who is the sister in-law of John Huff, owner of the John Huff Podcast.
During his free time, he does photography and edits the pictures he takes.
His acting idol are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis. [2]
