Taylor Winston is an American US Marines veteran. He gained publicity during the Las Vegas mass shooting after saving dozens of people's lives by transporting them to hospitals in a white pick-up truck he found with the keys inside. ^[2]

At the age of 17, Winston joined the US Marines and eventually did two tours in Iraq. In 2011, he was honorably discharged from service as a Sergeant. ^[2]

On the last night of the Route 91 Harvest Country Music festival, while watching Jason Aldean perform his songs, Winston and his girlfriend Jenn Lewis were on stage right dancing the two-step. ^[2]Soon thereafter, gunshots started to rain down on the crowd from the Mandalay Bay Resort. At first, like many others, Winston thought the gunshots were fireworks. ^[1]

Once he saw that people were being shot down, he and his girlfriend ran along with a swarm of people to safety.

After assessing the situation, he decided to get his girlfriend to safety and begin helping wounded people.

He located a white pick-up truck that had the keys inside of the ignition and began to take severely wounded people inside.

He began to transport them to the nearest hospitals.

The owner of a dealership called B5 Motors, Shane Beus, in Gilbert, Arizona offered to give a free silver Ford F-150 to Winston for his heroic work during the Las Vegas mass shooting.

On October 9, 2017, B5 Motors officially gave the keys to the truck to Winston; the dealership recorded it on Facebook Live.
