Route 91 Harvest is an annual three-day country music festival taking place on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. The festival takes place every year in early October on a 15-acre lot in the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on Las Vegas Boulevard across from Mandalay Bay. ^[0]

The Route 91 Harvest festival was started in 2014 as a partnership between the music promotions company Livenation and the casino hotel company MGM Resorts. The inaugural festival held from October 3, 2014 - October 5, 2017 was headlined by Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and Brantley Gilbert. ^{[0] [2]}

Th 2017 Route 91 Harvest festival was held from September 29, 2017 - October 1, 2017.

The event was headlined by Jason Aldean, Eric Church and Sam Hunt. ^[5]

The 2017 Route 91 Harvest festival was the site of Mandalay Bay Resort Shooting October 2017 which killed at least 58 people and injured 515, the worst mass shooting in American history. ^{[3] [4]}

The shooting took place on October 1, 2017 during the final day of the festival.

At 10:08 pm Stephen Paddock fired into a crowd of people at the festival from his hotel room at the Mandalay Bay which overlooked the festival grounds. The shooting began while Jason Aldean who was the last act, performed the last set of the music festival; he was performing his single, "When She Says Baby ". ^{[3] [4]}
