Stevie Scott (born Stephanie Marie Scott on May 22, 1986 in Fair Oaks, California) is a Los Angeles-based singer & songwriter for machineheart.

She performed in a semi-professional theater in Sacramento & received multiple Elly award nominations. She began writing her own songs and started training in opera at the age of 10. She recorded a demo cd which was then shown to the owner of a local record label. At the age of 15, Stevie was signed to an Indie label in Northern California & began performing her own music at local venues.
In 2006, Stevie was a contestant American Idol Season 5 and made a cameo appearance on the Top 6 performance show of American Idol on April 25, 2006.
According to Stevie's MySpace page, the self-titled "Stevie Scott - EP" was recorded at Paramount Studio. The album was a mix of Pop and Soul, with some Opera influences. It was released on July 29, 2008. Following the self-titled EP, "Bad News - EP" was released on September 16, 2008. Stevie signed a promotional deal with MySpace Records in 2009. Stevie released her "Before The Dawn - EP" on iTunes on April 04, 2011. She toured California on The Nightingale Tour &, according to her twitter, is currently writing songs for a full-length album.
