Sophia Gonzales is the new-born baby of Laura Abarca-Nogueda. Sophia, after only six days of being delivered into the world by her mother, she was kidnapped by notorious Kidnapper, Yesenia Sesmas. ^[1]

It appears that after giving birth to Sophia, Laura had agreed to give up the newborn baby, but changed her mind after Yesenia arrived into the town of Wichita.

A Confrontation ensued and Sesmas fired her gun, ending the life of Laura. The shooting and kidnapping happened on Thursday afternoon, November 17th, 2016 in the 200 block of North Brunswick, near Maple Ridge Road. The 27-year-old woman's boyfriend returned to their apartment from work to find she had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene. ^[1]

After Sesmas fled the scene, Special Agents and the FBI located a home in Dallas, Texas. A SWAT team was sent out and were able to recover Sophia safely. She was flown back to her to her family in Wichita. ^[1]

The investigation led to collaboration with a number of agencies to get the work done.
