Sierra Matthews was a 16-year-old student at Greenway High School. She originally hails from Pengilly, Minnesota. ^[7]

Sierra was passionate about makeup and would post selfies of herself on her Instagram account to high acclaim from others. ^[9]Her boyfriend in Boady Olden. Sierra is remembered from being a sweet young woman who had a huge heart for others.

On January 10th around 7:45 am, Matthews was driving her 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse westbound on U.S. Highway 169 (Minnesota) near Greenway Township when she lost control of her vehicle, crossed the centerline, and collided head-on into a 2015 Dodge Ram. Matthews was soon pronounced dead after the accident Snow and ice were on the highway when the collision occurred. Matthews was wearing a seatbelt but her air bag did not function properly. ^[10]
