Semina Halliwell
Semina Halliwell
Background
The Halliwell family is from Southport, United Kingdom. Semina's mother, Rachel Halliwell, has stated that Semina received daily bullying online following an alleged incident of sexual assault “by a boy from her school”. She stated that her daughter took her own life after being raped. Rachel Halliwell posted on her Facebook page:
Semina could not take any more of the bullying online she received daily and the fact that this boy took her innocence away from her at the age of 12…..she took her life.
The boys mother has repeatedly said ‘girls take their own lives all the time’.
She is in denial and protecting a rapist who actually has done it before.
The last words my baby said to me before they put her in a coma was (juvenile's name) is a rapist and he raped me.
Semina Halliwell was initially stabilized in hospital following an overdose, but eventually succumbed to a number of heart attacks before losing her life at Alder Hey Children's Hospital on Saturday June 12, 2021. Friends, family and hundreds of well-wishers held a vigil in memory of Semina Halliwell on Southport beach. Her death was mentioned by a politician of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Labour MP Apsana Begum asked Education Secretary Gavin Williamson as to what more can be done to help protect children from sexual harassment and abuse. Liam Gittins dedicated his mixed martial arts match in June 2021 to the memory of Semina Halliwell.[7]
In April 2022 Everipedia editor Matthew E. O'Neil contacted her mother Rachel Halliwell via Facebook. Rachel Halliwell continues to fight for her daughter and will be travelling to London to meet with politicians.
