Samantha Broberg fell off a Carnival Cruise Line called Liberty around 2 a.m on Friday May 13, 2016. Carnival officials found out after she was reported missing and surveillance video footage showed Samantha falling overboard at around 2 a.m. on May 13, 2016. The Liberty started its trip in Galveston, Texas, on Thursday May 12, 2016 for a four day cruise to Mexico. ^[1]

Samantha Broberg fell off in the Gulf of Mexico about about 195 miles off the coast of Galveston. The United States Coast Guard is still searching the Gulf of Mexico for Samantha. ^[1]

On May 15, 2016 The U.S.

Coast Guard suspended the search for Broberg around 8:15 p.m local time.

Crews searched for 20 hours and covered more than 4,300 square miles.
