Rosie Daley is a chef and best-selling author who is known for being Oprah's former personal chef. She lives in California.

Rosie was born and raised in New Jersey. ^[1] As one of 13 children, Rosie laid the oundation fofr her culinary career the responsibility of cooking for her large family. ^[8] Rosie Daley went on to work in different aspects of the food industry including produce stores, health-oriented cafés, commercial restaurants, and for major food corporations like Ocean Spray, exploring all aspects of her chosen field. ^[8]

Rosie became head chef at the acclaimed Cal-A-Vie spa just north of San Diego. ^[8] It was there where she met Oprah Winfrey who was so impressed by Daley's skill of balancing exquisite taste with nutritional value that she hired her away from the restaurant to become her own personal chef. ^[2] In the 90's, Rosie became a mainstay on Oprah's show and would show her audiences her culinary tricks and recipes such as her unfried french fries and more. ^[2] Rosie's success culminating with the publishing of the book In the Kitchen with Rosie: Oprah's Favorite Recipes which sold 6 million copies and became a New York Times Best Seller. ^[7]

With the money earned from the book, Rosie retired as Oprah's chef and moved to California in order to be closer to her son, Marley. ^[2] She still marvels at her success of her book and is happy living a life without the day-to-day financial worries she used to have. ^[3]
