Heroin Arrest
On September 9, 2016, disturbing photos of Rhonda and James Lee Acord passed out in a car with her 4 year old grandson in the backseat after the pair had overdosed on Heroin went viral on social media.
A Police officer pulled over the pair on September 7, 2016, after he had seen them driving erratically before screeching to a stop near a school bus that was dropping off children.
The officer approached the vehicle, he noticed James Lee Acord appeared intoxicated, with his head bobbing back and forth and his speech almost unintelligible. Rhonda was slumped over in the front passenger seat. James Lee Acord then made an attempt to drive away, but at that moment the officer reached into the car and pulled the keys out of the ignition.
Charges
Pasek was charged with endangering a child, not wearing a seatbelt and public intoxication.
She pleaded not guilty and was ordered held on $150,000 bond pending her next court appearance scheduled for September 15, 2016.
James Lee Acord was charged with operating a vehicle impaired, endangering a child and slowing in a roadway.
Substance Abuse
Pasek has a history of arrests and substance abuse, including a drug possession charge in 2011.
