Criminal history
Quentin Lamar Smith lived in a suburb of Cleveland and was arrested in 2007 and charged with felonious assault, however, that case was later dismissed. [1]
In 2008, Smith was charged with aggravated burglary and felonious assault. He ultimately pleaded guilty to charges of burglary and domestic violence. [1]
Smith had also been charged on at least two other occasions with domestic violence, however, both of those cases were dismissed.

On Saturday February 10, 2018, Smith allegedly fatally shot officers Eric Joering and Anthony Morelli around noon after responding to a 911 hang-up call. The officers were responding to a potential domestic situation. [1]
