Dorotea Andersson, also known as Pearl, is a Swedish musician, singer-songwriter and recording artist known for being the drummer in the band, Ason. She has collaborated with several musicians including Jayddyn. Many of her recordings and collaborations appear on her SoundCloud.

Ason is a band that is composed of herself along with her three sisters.

Andersson was born in Sweden to Swedish and German parents, Charlotta Andersson and Burkhard Mayer-Andersson. She was born in the city of Vetlanda. She and her family would move to Germany when she was a kid and had most of her early upbringing in the city of Mannheim.

Ever since she was a toddler she had taken an interest in music as she grew up in a musical oriented family.

Her father, a drummer and musician, would become her fondest instructor and influence in the art of drumming.

She and her sisters would all learn how to play music.

She has three sisters who are Lilianna, Joella, and Mickelina.

As a young child, she attended the schools, Helene-Lange-School (Wiesbaden) and Kerschensteiner School.

At the age of 13 years old, she wrote a letter to the Zildjian company asking for a pink t-shirt that she wanted to wear, while also expressing her love for their cymbals. Years later, in 2018, she received a personal letter from Craigie Zildjian replying to the letter. In the letter, the CEO and face of the company, Mr. Zildjian congratulated her on continuing her drumming and sent her hoodie and t-shirt.

After high school, she attended Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, where she improved her songwriting and drumming skills.

Since she was a kid she has been taking her drumming and music seriously.

She has gone on to collaborate with an array of artists.

During her teenage years, she and her sisters started the band, ASON.

Their father would be the manager of the band soon they began to hone their sound and began playing live shows.
