Patrick Day (born August 9, 1992 - died October 16, 2019) was a professional boxer. He was a New York Golden Gloves Champion and an alternate on the U.S. 2012 Summer Olympic boxing team. He had seventeen professional wins and four losses, with one draw. Day was praised by many as a hard worker dedicated to the sport of boxing. He was promoted by Lou DiBella of DiBella Entertainment.[15]
Early Life & Education
Pat Day
Patrick Day was born to Haitian immigrants. He was the youngest of four sons.[7] His father was a doctor who boxed as a child and his mother was a translator at the United Nations; she deeply opposed boxing as she was extremely religious and believed it went against her values.[7]
DiBella Entertainment stated in a press release that Day had earned an Associate's degree in Food & Nutrition from Nassau Community College and a Bachelor's degree in Health & Wellness from Kaplan University.[9]

Day won the World Boxing Council Continental Americas super welterweight title on July 15, 2017 by defeating Eric Walker. The bout occurred at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. He successfully defended the title three times.
Death
On October 12, 2019, Patrick Day boxed against Charles Cromwell at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. During the fight with Cromwell he suffered a traumatic brain injury.
