CEO/Founder
The CEO/founder is Lou DiBella. DiBella Entertainment issued in a press release that DiBella graduated from Tufts University and Harvard Law School. Lou DiBella was previously head of programming for HBO. He created and orchestrated the highly successful series, “Boxing After Dark.”[1] HBO experienced enormous success under his guidance with some of the most high-profile matches in boxing history. DiBella also owns the San Francisco Giants Baseball AA Eastern League affiliate,the Richmond Flying Squirrels. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2020. DiBella Entertainment created a rebirth for boxing in New York City with its popular series “Broadway Boxing.” The two-hour program is the longest running and most successful independently produced boxing television series. It features up and coming fighters and promising contenders.
DiBella Entertainment states on its website that it represents athletes with honesty and integrity and seeks the best and fairest financial deals for its clients.
Las Vegas draws tens of millions of tourists each year. In 2019, 50 million people visited Las Vegas.[12] One of the biggest sports showcased by the casinos is boxing. Since the start of the 21st century the major boxing matches have been at the Mandalay Bay,MGM Grand Garden Arena, and T-Mobile Arena.In the year 2019 alone, DiBella Entertainment helped dozens of professional boxers showcase their talents on and off of television.[21]
DiBella Entertainment (DBE) was born from the unique insights that owner Lou DiBella developed as a television executive and matchmaker. DBE rejects the contractual exploitation of professional boxers and focuses on proper matchmaking to ensure a quality product is given to the fans of the sport of boxing. They have promoted former World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. In 2020, Wilder was co-promoted by the Premier Boxing Champions and Top Rank and many of his bouts are shown on Showtime (TV network) and FOX.

The hard-hitting Ahio made his debut under the DiBella Entertainment banner on Friday, November 15, 2019 in a 10-round bout against Joshua Tufte at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City. Sean Sullivan of DiBella Entertainment helps with media credentials and in other business related areas for the company.[10]
DiBella Entertainment’s acclaimed Broadway Boxing series celebrated its 17th year in 2020.
It moved its scheduled March 12th event in Miami, Florida March 19th at the Showboat Atlantic City in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The event was headlined by Ghanaian lightweight contender Emmanuel “The Gameboy” Tagoe (31-1, 15 KOs) boxing Rey “The Technician” Perez (24-11, 8 KOs) and live streamed exclusively on UFC Fight Pass, the world’s leading digital subscription service for combat sports.
