Golf Career
Junior Career
After suffering injuries to her knee during her gymnast days, Paige Spiranac's dad inspired her to get into golf.
He told her that she has a "good personality" for it.
She acknowledges that she loved the fact that she could play the game by herself due to her introverted tendencies. She also loves the peacefulness of the game and being at one with nature. As a result, she practiced her golf game by listening to music and getting lost in her own thoughts.
Spiranac did not play golf for a high school team.
However, she did play in several national tournaments.
During her junior career, she was ranked one of the top 25 golfers in the world and a top 5 college recruit.
In addition, Paige was twice named the West Region Player of the Year and twice earned All-America honors.

Professional Career

LPGA Dress Code
In August 2017, the LPGA introduced a stricter dress code for its female players. It states that tour pros are not able to wear shirts with plunging necklines, leggings, or short skirts. Paige Spiranac, who has been criticized for wearing revealing clothes on the course, responded to the new rules in an article, stating, "I fear that these new rules are stifling the growth of the women’s game." She goes on to say:
If professionalism in golf equals athleticism, then athleticism should be promoted and showcased, and that means allowing the clothes that promote it. By labeling women as looking “unprofessional” when showing cleavage or shorts worn under a skirt, the LPGA is perpetrating the outdated stereotypes about the connection between what a woman wears and her morals, as well as insinuating that women do not have control over the perception of their bodies, but rather that they must bend to the every whim of the male gaze.
