Sultan attended Duquesne University and then the University of Pittsburgh where he studied linguistics, marketing and economics. He spent some time studying abroad in Germany at the Goethe institut and is fluent in English and German with conversational fluencies in French, Japanese and Arabic.
Sultan received his Master's Degree from Carnegie Mellon with a degree in Master of Information Science/Policy.
Career
Sultan is a Blockchain, Big Data and Counterterrorism Strategist who has worked with the U.S.
PeaceTech Lab, The Economist, and other corporate and government clients over the past two decades. Oz is the founder Sultan Interactive Group (SIG), a boutique strategy, Enterprise Blockchain and Big Data organization --that specializes in multi-vertical Digital and Intrapreneurship across technology, luxury, automotive, finance and intercultural segments. Sultan Interactive's list of clients includes IBM, MetLife, Xbox, and various startup and an number of ICO and Blockchain projects.
As a Community Organizer, Oz has been involved in uptown Manhattan for the better part of the past decade.
He sits on the Five Borough Coalition against Homelessness[20] that has advanced Legislation to ensure shelters and elementary schools have safe distances - as well as ask Albany to put funding towards job training and re-entry versus creating $5000 / mo bunkbeds, without a future.
Civically, Oz and SIG have sponsored and supported Kwanzaa events; Blockchain education with the Blockchain Center and CUNY in Harlem; Real estate and new home buyer programs and local political events.
Forward Magazine cited Sultan as the person responsible for connecting several Middle Eastern politicos in an effort to get Trump to visit the Golan Heights and take a more active role in the Palestinian:Israeli peace process and the Syrian crisis.
Personal Life
Oz is an American who actively pursues interfaith dialogue and prevention of radicalization.
He is also a GOP District Leader representing the 70th AD and a NY State delegate.
He has published a number or research articles in Military journals on how to stop online radicalization.
He's also a Board Member of the Homeland Security Foundation of America - focused on preventing active shooters and education on stopping online radicalization.
Oz has worked with a number of Anti-humantrafficking organizations including the Joanne Herring foundation.
Oz is running for State Senate 30 in NY on both Independent and Republican lines in 2020.
His platform is simple - bring banking, jobs, education, housing and food security to Harlem.
Oz also focuses heavily on interfaith engagement with the 2021 launch of OurHouse - a community center focused on bringing Muslims, Christians and Jews together to build bridges and provide community education to assist in preventing radicalization.
In January 2018, he launched a Tech Inclusion pilot in Harlem that will be the first of its' kind to provide Capstone education and engagement for financially underrepresented minority students.
Oz participated in Choir and Madrigals, in college and is part of the Downtown Glee Club in Manhattan.
In addition, Sultan is a foodie and is on a life-long search for the most perfect hamburger in America.

Oz is a well-regarded speaker who regularly speaks at Blockchain, Big Data, and Counter-Terrorism conferences and panels around the world.
He recently spoke about the "Physics of Social Media" in Amsterdam and has spoken on disrupting terrorism in social media with the Chief Scientist of Westpoint at Techonomy 2017.
Over the past two years, Oz has given Blockchain and technology talks at the New School, CUNY, numerous global conferences and will be speaking at Virtual Blockchain week on the need for Blockchains in the Enterprise - during the time of COVID[21].
