Omar Enrique Santa-Perez was a resident of North Bend, Ohio. ^[1]

Perez had lived in Ohio since 2015.

On Thursday September 6, 2018, Perez was killed in a shootout with police after he allegedly killed three people and wounded two others at a bank in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.

Omar Santa Perez had acted alone when he opened fire at the headquarters for the Fifth Third Bank near the Fountain Square. Authorities stated he is not a former or current employee of the bank. It is also unclear how he got to Fountain Square, but he entered multiple businesses before going to the bank.

He had legally purchased a 9mm semi-automatic pistol, which was recovered on the scene. Perez had multiple magazines and around 200 rounds of ammunition.
